Due to rising permitting costs and the expense associated with shutting down Kelly Drive and permitting the river, it is no longer feasible for us to host the full-scale event. Instead, the 2026 Kerr Cup will take place this year as a dual race involving only a limited number of teams, allowing us to operate without closing Kelly Drive or undertaking the full permitting process.
We want to thank you for your support of the Kerr Cup over the years. Your participation has been a big part of the race’s history, and we appreciate the time and effort teams have invested in competing here.
We hope to be able to revisit the traditional format in the future years should circumstances allow, and we will keep the community informed.
